Two countries. Two counts. One election night. Votendi will follow Serbia’s parliamentary election and Brazil’s presidential runoff on Sunday, October 25, with dedicated live pages, official-result cards on the homepage and results appearing on each election hub as verified figures become available.
In Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Flávio Bolsonaro face the decisive presidential vote. In Serbia, voters choose a new National Assembly. Their results will arrive through different electoral systems and at different speeds, but the two counts will share the same European evening.
Our election-night homepage coverage opens at 18:30 UTC — 19:30 in Belgrade and Zagreb, and 15:30 in Brasília. Serbia’s scheduled poll closing follows half an hour later; Brazil’s follows another hour after that. These are the moments to watch, rather than promises that official figures will appear immediately.
Your October 25 election-night timetable
All times below refer to Sunday, October 25, 2026. Belgrade and Zagreb will be on CET (UTC+1) after the overnight end of daylight saving time. Brasília uses BRT (UTC−3). Brazil’s nationwide voting timetable is aligned to Brasília time; local clock times differ in other Brazilian time zones.
| Event | UTC | Belgrade / Zagreb (CET) | Brasília (BRT) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Serbia: polling stations open | 06:00 | 07:00 | 03:00 |
| Brazil: voting opens | 11:00 | 12:00 | 08:00 |
| Votendi: dedicated live pages scheduled to open | 18:15 | 19:15 | 15:15 |
| Votendi: dual election-night homepage opens | 18:30 | 19:30 | 15:30 |
| Serbia: scheduled poll closing; Votendi’s official-results watch begins | 19:00 | 20:00 | 16:00 |
| Brazil: Votendi’s results watch begins ahead of poll closing | 19:55 | 20:55 | 16:55 |
| Brazil: scheduled poll closing; TSE result releases can begin | 20:00 | 21:00 | 17:00 |
Voters already waiting at closing time may still be entitled to vote. The start of our results watch is not the publication time of the first official result. Serbia’s figures depend on RIK’s releases; Brazil’s depend on the TSE’s receipt and processing of polling-section returns.
Serbia: follow the lists, the count and the reporting coverage
Our Serbia election hub will display a dedicated official-results block above the polling material once the first verified national figures are available. It will show electoral lists, reported vote shares, vote totals and the source time, alongside reporting coverage where supplied.
The Republic Electoral Commission, RIK, is our primary official source. Any separately verified CeSID/Ipsos parallel-count projection used in our coverage will be explicitly attributed and labelled as a projection. It will not be presented as an official RIK result, and its availability is not guaranteed.
Early percentages do not establish the final parliamentary balance. We will not convert a partial vote share into a claimed seat total or a majority declaration.
Brazil: Lula versus Flávio Bolsonaro, using the second-round count
The Brazil election hub will add official runoff results above its existing polling tracker when validated TSE figures arrive. The result display will show both candidates’ vote shares and vote totals, together with the source time and the proportion of polling sections processed.
The TSE’s official results service will be the source for the presidential count. This is a separate second-round result: first-round totals and pre-election polling averages will not be recycled as runoff votes.
A crucial distinction: the percentage of polling sections processed is not the percentage of individual ballots counted. Candidate percentages in Brazil refer to valid votes, excluding blank and null ballots.
What will change on Votendi as results arrive?
The homepage will carry separate Brazil and Serbia cards. Before validated results arrive, they will show a waiting status. Each country’s hub will reveal its own official-results block independently, so one count will not have to wait for the other.
The homepage and hub displays will refresh automatically during coverage. Dedicated live pages, scheduled to become available at 18:15 UTC, will bring together the count and its context. Until those pages open, use the two election hubs linked above; the homepage’s country links will switch to the live pages once they are public.
Our coverage will keep official partial results, attributed projections and pre-election polls clearly separate. Early returns may reflect an uneven geographical mix. A lead during counting is not, by itself, a final outcome.
Join Votendi from 18:30 UTC on October 25: 19:30 in Serbia and Croatia, and 15:30 in Brasília. Two elections, followed side by side — with the source and the state of the count always in view.
